This historic summit is a joint venture between the Youth Research Unit (YRU) of the Bureau of Market Research (BMR) at the University of South Africa (Unisa) and the International Centre on Sexual Exploitation (ICOSE), a division of the National Centre on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE), based in the United States of America. Recently, ICOSE established the Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation (CESE) Africa. CESE Africa aims to share information and collaborate to create a more cohesive movement and ultimately end sexual abuse and exploitation.
The summit will be held over three days from 20 to 22 September 2022 at the University of South Africa, Muckleneuk Campus, PRETORIA, and online.
The summit aims to bring together stakeholders across the African continent to share their knowledge about diverse forms of sexual exploitation and work collaboratively to increase awareness and strengthen global efforts toward prevention and protection.
Registrations are now open, and opportunities are available for speakers to submit abstracts for oral presentations and discussions at the summit. The deadline for abstract submissions is 15 June 2022.
